It’s a different type of excitement when your college mate is getting married. And when to talk about the bachelor’s trip, I couldn’t have imagined reliving my college days would turn my marketing fundas (marketing techniques) into fun days. Well, we had a simple idea for the bachelor’s trip; the groom gets to decide the state and the four of us friends gets to decide the location. To give us a run for our money, the groom decided and said, “Let’s go to Uttarakhand, my Amigos.”
My journey began with a simple Google search – Cheap hotels in Bhimtal because I read an article on Bhimtal and had my heart set on going there. After an interesting brainstorming session, my friends and I planned to go on an adventure.
DRIVE TO HARIDWAR
Set out on the barren roads and highways, we crossed Noida early in the morning. Our adventure took us first to Har-Ki-Pauri. Upon reaching Har-ki-Pauri, we realized with Lord Shiva’s blessings we are unstoppable. The sky was full of silver-lined clouds. Crossing the Haridwar Bridge felt surreal. There we encountered the natural state of humans a lot. It was out of the ordinary for us, city boys, to see the openness everyone shared only on the banks of the Ganges. Haridwar chants the name of Lord Shiva from the roads to the banks to the market place. The color blue was no longer describing melancholy. Rather, it became a happy color for me.
Partially dried, we continued our journey.
ACCOMPLISHED GOALS IN NAINITAL
A day in Nainital, Uttarakhand was full of just dilated pupils. The beauty of Uttarakhand seems unfathomable. Our escapade craving souls screamed for us to camp around the bank of Naini Lake. Alas, we settled for the trek to camp in the mountains. Driving the night in shifts, we felt like bachelors in paradise. But upon starting the trek, we discovered the mesmerizing mountain range are the cliffhangers of life that remains still in front of our eyes.
Nainital was as picturesque as described all over the net. We reached and booked our trek. Lucky enough last-minute bookings were managed. Our guide was a native, who was pushy enough to get us to complete the trek and also understanding enough to show us the wonders of nature. Our journey gave us a zeal for freedom, seeing the lush richness of nature rendered our wallet greenery dumbstruck. Snow points, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Trishul were a momentous panorama. The trek had vitality, we, however, did not by the end of it all.
Our sundowner was at the campsite where we had a blast. The campsite was our first Trouville. Our day back was a roar. It filled us with the stamina to walk to the next destination, but we chose to drive.
MOMENTS CAPTURED IN BHIMTAL
The road to Bhimtal is fun to say none-the-less. We reached a little tired. Google search for the best budget hotels in Bhimtal did not disappoint us at all. We got the most out of our trip to Bhimtal. We had a blast in the hotel property. The Pine Crest is aesthetic. The flooring and the balcony view caught my eye immediately. The pool table at the hotel was where our evening was spent with a surprising encounter with another group of girls who were staying there. But the lush gardens of the hotel were the eye candy. Regretfully, we did not stay for a very long time at the hotel.
Feeling basked in the sunlight in between the mountains at morning was numinous for me. I still associate such a feeling with The Pine Crest Hotel. A thorough exploration of the Bhimtal as tourists by morning and natives by evening gave us quite the insights about this small and a little secluded place. Bhimtal is a place where every desire of a person can be fulfilled. If you want to be a historian, Bhimtal got the places for that. If you want to be a tourist, the place has major attraction spots. If you want to fly, the place will equip you with wings!
Bhimtal is where I have left my heart. Our bachelor trip was overall a blast. It was a miraki trip for us. The stunning views, the songs list, our old days were not behind us in Uttarakhand.
